A Family-Owned Business
Copper Moon Boer Goat Ranch began as a mother/daughter operation in 2014 out of my daughter's interests in goats which started when she joined Livermore FFA in high school. As she learned about raising & breeding goats, so did I. We both fell in love with the goats and decided to begin our own Boer goat herd. My husband retired in 2019 from his tech career in Silcon Valley to join our team as our ranch hand. What began with two Alameda County Fair Livestock Show wethers has grown into a full fledged business!

Our business is multifaceted. We raise high quality Boer goat breed stock, award winning show goats for FFA/4-H projects, and tender, meaty wethers for market. Our goal is to raise Boer goats that display the best available genetic characteristics and deliver the highest quality meat for market while caring for our herd as if they were our own pets. Each animal is given access to top quality nutrition, housed in a comfortable ranch environment, and handled on almost a daily basis to produce an animal that is at the top of its game when it leaves our family for your herd.
